More Pics from the 24hrs of Nurburg 2000....
There is an official website for the event... it takes a while to navigate to the pictures and results, but they have an archive of every event held! Here is the link: http://www.ks-design.de/24h/
There were 3 S2K's entered, the two Carlsson entries and the one Spoon entry. The Spoon car finished 32nd overall out of 830 cars. They were 23 laps down at the finish, out of 156 completed by the winner in a Porshe-Cup car. The two Carlsson cars didn't finish... I don't know the circumstances.
That's right 830 cars!!! Pretty amazing event. I'll give you a clue... the pics and results are under the 'history' link on the main page.

Awesome...I have seen the Best Motoring S2000 videos at Nurburgring...man, that is one HELL of a track. It's something like 9 1/2 miles...balls out!
I was noticing that there were people on mopeds and other odd cars...it turns out that anyone with about 6 dollars can pay to run the 'ring. Totally cool...but I bet a safety hazard!!

Yes, I've been there. But it looks like this race was run on the Grand Prix circuit. It's only about 3 miles long is is your standard, "mickey mouse" GP track.
Although the public can run the old ring, I don't think they've run races on it for 10 or more years.

Nope Mikey... this event was run on the FULL course. That's why the winner only completed 156 laps in 24 hours. This is the real deal. Plus, it would be tough to fit 830 cars on the GP circuit... a little cramped.
