Spoon Strut + Fujita F5 CAI = Possible?

Spoon Strut + Fujita F5 CAI = Possible?
So I ordered both after reading somewhere that they can both fit (someone even mentioned putting tape on the under side of the strut bar so they don't rub). Well I got them installed today and the strut bar doesn't fit with the F5 in place. The hood BEARLY closes with just the F5 in place...
Ideas?
