I get a loud popping sound when I haven't started the car for awhile. Its coming from the hood area and happens immediately when I turn the key to the on position. Could it be from the new fuel pump or compacted air?? I am clueless as to the cause. Anyone else notice this with there turbo setup.

I had this happen to me but that was because it was way, way to rich at idle... but I don't really know why that happens now that I got a pretty good map it doesn't happen...

mine does that occasionally too... i'm pretty sure its fuel pressure bleeder on top of the motor that lets out any extra air in the system.
When you turn on the key, it primes the fuel system, pumping up the pressure in the fuel line... sometimes there is a bit larger amount of air in the line and that pops out... pop the hood and look at that round container that is attached to the fuel rail. when you start the car, you will see the little screw pop up when the fuel pump primes itself!
