Default Warning to those with MotorKlasse Spacers

Dunno what else to say except that you should definately check up on the bolts supplied in this kit. They seem to be very cheap bolts, cheap enough that all the bolts of mine are damaged - soft, threads sheared off from natural vibrations. Even re-torquing one down to 40lbs/in to put it back on (regular diff bolts in manual say 61lb/in) sheared the head right off the bolt. I laughed at how easy the bolt broke and realized thats why all my bolts became damaged.

Funny to know that I wasn't the only one with this problem too, another local S2KBay member has the same half shaft spacers and same problem with the bolts being crap. I would take some pictures of the bolts up close but I don't have a camera ATM.

So, just a reminder you should definately check your bolts if you have these spacers, and I highly recommend replacing them with some grade A quality bolts!

Check the bolt identification if any.

HD or Lowes sells Grade 8-12 bolts.

Before buying spacers everyone should read the entire discussion, so click the link below and read the entire thread. If you do so, and are smart, this will not happen to you,

Yea....I sheared mine trying to get to OEM TQ settings. I used 10.9 (metric grade) bolts and TQ'd to 61.

Another useless mod that's cheaply made! I've been ridding low for the last 3 years and i don't have a single issue with my CV joints! 46k miles and counting...

Actually it is first time that we have heard this issue, although we had some issues with bolt stripping.

I am sure stripped bolts got loosen causing stress on remaing bolts. Which ends up breaking heads off

As it stated on the installation manual, you only have to tighten it so that spring washer is flush.

We use 30lb for bolt torque, and didnt have single issue with 400rwhp+ over 2 years. (Not just single car, over many F.I.ed S2k)

Those bolts we use are NOT cheap bolts.

BUT...
We have upgraded our bolts for newer batch to heat treated carbon steel after some of stripping issues.

And Ustemuf, please let me know your address, I will send you the newer bolts.
