Default F20C Engine Study

This should be required reading for every new S2k owner. It has probably been linked to before from our site but after running across it by accident I wanted to share it with other newer members:

I think this must have been posted before, because I have a copy of the PDF file on my hard drive, but it's well worth posting again. It's something everyone who owns an S2000 should have a chance to read. Nice find.

Great read, anyone want to take a crack at explaining "Variable intake-plemum chamber volume/length". How does this help and is the length of the intake manafold really variable? I always thought that shorter and wider was better for an intake manifold.

At lower RPMs a longer and narrow intake runner provides better driveability. In a K20A3 motor with dual runners it switches to the short-wide configuration at about 5K RPM.
