Default S2000 better than the Z06*

It occurred to me that enthusiasts could use a new equation to better quantify a vehicle

I figure the S2000

240hp / 2830 lbs x 10,000 / $33K x 100,000 = 2569 SpD

Sorry, it's way too simplistic to compare cars that way.

My 240Z:
hp = ~283 (255rwhp)
weight = 2300 lb.
cost (total of what I have in it to date) = $15,000
spd = 8203

2001 LS1 Camaro:
hp = 342 (real-world rwhp = 308)
weight = 3400
cost (stripped model sticker) = $25k
spd = 3965

And we're just comparing peak horsepower rated from the manufacturer.

Some cars are more underrated/overrated than others.

Royal waste of time by spec racers w/ too much time on their hands IMO...

I'm still not any closer to wanting one of the top 3.

Ok captain cynical, no one every said this was the gold standard in car comparisons.

Even though the Veyron is at the bottom of the barrel, I wouldn't mind having one.

Amen. In fact, the cars rated lower (in the list above) are generally more desirable than the higher ones. My view only of course.

It seems to be more or less just a power to weight divided by price. So that the Z06 has 2x the power to weight as a S2000 but costs more than 2x.
