Default new here! want to purchase s2k but have questions.

i have 17 almost 18. i know that if you are under your parents insurance, insurance will be cheaper. my dad is close to his 50s. we recently changed from statefarm to allstate, and i am currently paying 635/6mo premium for my civic coupe ex(complete si makeover, but insurance company doesnt know about it )

my dad had a couple tickets before but that was more than 3 years and it should be off his record, so pretty much he's clean.

alright. i did some research and some browsing around on this site and Honda-Tech. ive been a member of Honda-Tech for more than 2 years; since 2004, but their resources on s2ks aren't really helping much.

say i own an s2k...like any ap1 year(not ap2) (if that makes any difference)...and i am under my dad's insurance. also lets say i have a Good Student Discount, Anti-Theft Device Discount, and multiple policy discount and maybe a couple more. what do you guys think my average insurance rate might be?

It will be different for everyone. My parents checked for me and under their insurance the S would be around $550/6 months. I'm currently 19 and I forget what our insurance company is

Doesn't Allstate have a toll-free number to call to get a free quote? Or at least go on their website?

insweb.com or esurance both offer online services as well.

there is no way to know what insurance rates will be from person to person because of the numerous variables that are factored into the rates.

You can get fairly good quotes online at all of the major insurance companies, and it usually only takes 5-10 minutes each.
