Default S2K VS EVO IX

Hey guys,

Im in the process of acquiring an EVO IX in exchange of my RSX-S. My question on this post is will a Vortex Supercharged S2000 be better than a Stock IX EVO MR.

Both are 6 speed and probably more in favor of the SC S2000 in a roll.

My expectations of the Evo IX MR will be 18-22 MPG average. And probably better utility than my s2000. I dont plan to mod the Evo, except maybe exhaust, intake. I wanna know if you guys think the FI S2K will be better and keep my rsx-s. Or trade teh RSX-S for the Evo?

I dont know if the s2000 SC will be a better option and keep my RSX-S. Since we have the daily drive both. Ive heard alot of Evo owners say they daily drive theirs and i`ve proven myself that my s2000 is capable of being daily drive without any probs. Basically wanna hear what my s2000 members opinions on this.

I will be sacrificing alot of $$$ for gas difference between my RSX-S compared to the EVO. Since i get about 26-30 on the RSX-S on premium. I took an Evo home for 2 days and i only averaged 18-20 mpg with one tank. Thats spirited driving.

My s2000 on the other hand has proven to be a consistent 24-26 mpg. Which is more than i expected buying this car. Same goes for the RSX-S which was suppose to get 24/31. Quite happy with the consistency on the mpg and headache free vehicles.

I have to think this through cause the dealership is holding the EVO IX MR for me until Wednesday. Any replies will be greatly appreciated.

Are you looking for MPG or SPG (smiles per gallon)?

Either case, I think I know which car I'd choose.

Been daily driving my Vortech'd S fora while now.

Power-wise, a supercharged S2000 should beat a stock EVO IX. It depends what you want though.

Not trying to be mean...I'm still trying to understand what's important to you. Driving fast in a straight line? Track? Girls? MPG? Money? Reliability? Driving in snow?

i dont think i`ll be going to the track, girls(im married). Driving in the snow is not important i live in Georgia. Reliability and Mpg somewhat important.

Im basically gauging and seeing what most people on this board thinks about the Evo.

Do you want vert? Are looks important?

MPG is better in the S and reliability... You can't beat Honda on that one

I like both very much though...

I say get the EVO. I've seen many people, and know some of them personally, that went FI with their S2000 and it ended up being an BOTTOMLESS money pit. I really to say good job to those that did it and everything works out. As tempting as going FI with my s2k sounds, I'll pass and wait for something with a warranty.

An Evo IX is fine for a daily driver. I get about 21mpg avg on mostly city driving. They are very reliable cars in stock form - I would imagine considerably more reliable than a Supercharged S2000. The Evo is very fast and handles well, but it's still not as much fun to drive as a stock S2000.

[QUOTE=matrix_squared,Jul 1 2007, 07:59 PM] I dont plan to mod the Evo, except maybe exhaust, intake.
