Default Care for my new top...

Hey all,
My S is currently sitting at the Honda dealership getting a brand new top (THANK YOU HONDA for goodwilling it!!!) and I was wondering what I should do to keep tip-top shape of the top to be sure I don't do any damage...I'd like for it to last as long as possible...

Any advice? Should I seal it or does it come sealed? THANKS!

303 protectant or raggtop should keep the top from fading. Also, make sure you keep the seals well lubed.

you should first treat the top seals with shin etsu grease (all rubber around the top)...
then you want to preserve the top with 303, vinylex or raggtopp for vinyl.
to do that, you wash and dry it- then soak a rag (dont spray on the car or you will get some on the paint) away from the car. rub it into the top really well... let it sit (i detail the rest of the car)- then buff it out ... i would buff it twice with two separate rags. you want to work the product into the top and dont want any excess.

got pics??

Is there a trick to apply the grease? I have a tube but no directions. It seems to be harmful if in contact with skin.

get shin etsu from your honda dealer-
tekstar is indicating that handa-accessories has it too... they would be a better place if they have it (better price)

use it liberally with either a rag or rubber gloves- and rub it into the rubber. i let it sit a while then come back and do a little more. let it sit then buff off any excess. it will give your rubber parts moisture and will help keep them new.
