Japan Meet ~1/9 to ~1/20 for Tokyo Auto Salon
Alright everyone...a few people know that I just got back from Japan and Taiwan, and after going to Japan for the first time (I know, I haven't posted pics I've been lazy, they'll be up soon 
) I wanna go back for Tokyo Auto Salon (TAS) in January...as well as see a few of the shops that make those parts that we all want or have (or dream of having 
)
TAS is from 1/11 to 1/13 (Friday to Sunday), so since you pretty much lose a day just getting there I figured we should leave on Wednesday, 1/9, so we would arrive there Thursday. Friday is for the media for the most part, but there are a limited amount of premium tickets which give you admission at 1PM on Friday, which are ~$25. On Saturday and Sunday the show is open to the public, and tickets are $18. I'd like to stay an additional week and get back on Sunday, 1/13, so that would give us about 10 days there to visit Tokyo, and of course Spoon, J's, etc.
Right now it looks like I can get flights for ~$1000 roundtrip, including taxes. Add hotel and spending money and it's probably around $2000, maybe more. The flight there wasn't too bad, I left from Philly and stopped in Dallas, and from Dallas to Tokyo it's about 12.5 hours. It sounds worse than it really is.
So who's SERIOUSLY interested in going?? If there's enough interest here I'll post in the general forums, maybe we can get a huge s2ki trip happening
