Exclamation First day with 4.77s!

i just got my 4.77s installed last night. i didn't get to really try them out until today cause it was raining like a mofo

so anyway i'm on the way back home from sushi and this ford f250 super duty keeps trying to run me. i toast him to the next light which is maybe 1/4 mile away. i then speed up ahead and wait for him to try again and he does, and i let him get a little bit in front just so i can reel him in again for fun (i hate those pickups that think they're so fast cause they have XXX amount of hp).

then out of nowhere while i'm reeling in the super duty, this mercedes c320 with the nice big brakes that say Mercedes-Benz on them, drilled rotors, some premium looking OEM wheels and a subtle rear spoiler (maybe debadged AMG? but i don't think so) tries to get in on the action. he's up on my tail but he can't keep up. i slow down to let him catch up a bit more then i pull away from him again. we hit traffic and i weave through, enjoying the benefit of my new Potenza RE-01Rs for basically the first time i dust him and he pulls up next to me at the light, but there's the newest model G35 behind him....

it's the newest model G35 (not G37) and he seems stock, maybe lowered a bit. he was trying to weave through to catch up to me most of the time i was toasting the C320 but he's stuck behind him due to traffic. he finally gets an opening at the next light and guns it by me and stops maybe a car length in front, in the lane to the left. he is obviously supercharged. all that is visible is a subtle but definitely aftermarket exhaust, but i can hear the blower spooling up loudly. there's no blowoff, and no front mount, so i'm 95% sure it's a supercharger.

myself, the c320, and the blown G35 gun it through the next left turn after we get the filter light. the mercedes obviously sucks at driving or overestimated his car because his tires squeal like hell and his rear kicks out a bit, sending him one lane over. i gun it and quickly get in front of both of them. by this time we're all weaving through traffic. the G35 is not nearly as agile as i am, but i don't think he's pushing it at this time. the mercedes is still trying to keep up but way behind and keeps getting owned by traffic. we drive about 1/3 mile weaving through traffic with me far in front.

the g35 and i line up. and we both gun it. he can't get in front of me before he has to slow down for traffic. we do it again and he once again fails to get in front of me before he has to slow down for traffic. he turns left into a neighborhood and i turn around and head back home.

i'm sure the G35 would have killed me in a more serious run where it's just us and an empty road ahead, but i really expected a blown G35 to be able to get in front of me given how much space he had in front of him, regardless of the traffic which was a good distance in front.

My installer is a very recommended installer with a lot of s2000 differential swaps and no failures. He said no break in is neccessary. Not even the heat cycles.
