Type S? Yuk!

Isn't Type S Honda speak for the pretend Type R version? Bodykit, wheels bigger than standard but an 1" smaller than Type R, and a weedy engine. That's certainly the case with last gen Accord and Civics

I seem to remember Top Gear talking about the NSX saying "Step away from the NSX, go and build something different and better", and it seems the same is turning out to be true of the S2000.

Let's have a new car Honda, stop buggering about with the old one.

I may be wrong but I thought in Japan the Type S was the faster / better specced one!

It's not exactly the CR, it's more road-friendly & has a roof n' stuff.

The 2.2 was developed for the Type-R, so was the rest of the AP2 facelift, but they dropped the idea.

It's not as if there's anything actually WRONG with the S2000; you've still got to pay a helluva lot more for a car that's decisively better.
