Default Detail Spray

I will need some detail spray very soon. I am thinking of either Adam's detail spray or Menzerna high gloss acylic shield. Has anyone tried these both that can advise me of these product reviews?

Thanks,

Tim

tim- i have not used either of these, but wanted to give you my thoughts on detail sprays.

detail sprays come in 3 kinds-
1. pure cleaner- megs makes one that i am using now- just used it on the bmw to get some spots that only needed cleaning.

2. carnauba based- cleaner that also leaves some wax on the car. dp makes a good one that i used recently

3. synthetic based- cleaner that also leaves synthetic. some think its best if you have used a synthetic to use the detail spray by that company, but i dont! (for example, i just sprayed my car with z6- the last coat on it is p21s carnauba - over the zaino- z2).

you might already know this, but the first step is to determine whether the sprays you are looking at work for what you want...

Wanabe: Thanks for sharing. IMO, using carnauba spray over synthetic will wear off synthetic very quickly. I've tried Pinnacle Crystal Mist Detail Spray over Zaino and then Pinnacle Souveran

tim- our sponsor (phil at detailers domain) sells adams, so he should know for sure, but i thought that adams has some carnauba in it.
my recollection is that the menzerna is pure synthetic... and not positive about adams
interesting that you are finding that carnaubas do not last over synthetics- i agree in the summer heat, and also agree that they will not last as long as synthetics, but the wax lasts long enough for my car (mainly cause it gets detail sprayed once a week or so, so its getting more wax then)

i will ask phil to comment on this...

Adam's Detail Spray does not contain carnauba in it.

It will give a small amount of protection.

However Swissvax Quick Finish has Carnauba in it.

The Finish Kare is nice and has a bit of a bubble gum scent to it. I tried a 4 oz. sample when I ordered the sample kit from them. My main detail spray is Meguiar's Last Touch, which is in the professional detailer's line. I order it by the gallon, and it does well for me.

Hope this helps.
