Default Tiny black spots on top of paint?

I purchased my car used and I was probably the first person to wash it since. The paint literally felt rough.

anyways, there were these very tiny black dots all over the paint. If you rub them hard enough they will turn orange-ish (rust-like) and finally will go away when rubbing some more. Even with a clay bar, I would have to go over it numerous of times to get them off. I got most of it off with the clay bar but they seem to keep coming back.

Do you guys know what this is?

Rust Spots:
Corroded ferrous contaminations, small particles of metal (ferrous oxide) created by railroad wheels abrading the metal tracks, these particles become airborne and pollute paint film surfaces. New cars that are transported by rail are at extra risk.

When moisture combines with the metal particles rust is formed, creating small orange / brown rust spots (especially visible on light coloured paint (white, silver, etc) It should be removed as soon as it

Get some detailing clay. It will remove those spots and leave the paint feeling smooth as a baby's bottom.

If clay bar doesnt work well enough, I would try solvent. Be very carefully, start out at one little area at first.

once you get it clean (+clayed), keep it covered, or in the garage, or both!

if you live near factories, you will have to clay more often if the car is outside uncovered much to keep it smooth.

i assume that you cant get pics of the problem?

I have to do hardcore claying. Rubbing the same spot for 1 minute to get 1 little tiny spot off.

My car now feels smooth, but the little surface rust spots always comes back after a month or so. The only thing i can think of is that I'm not fully removing the surface rust?

I'll try to take some pics today.
