Default zdave's day at Sebring International

After the first session of warmup laps, we finally started to get up to speed. (Keep in mind we did 5 sessions of about 45mins each-so I'm condensing some of laps/speeds/best corners etc). I had a instructor with me in the car at all times.

My best lap started like this:

Passed the Start/Finish line and got to turn 1 at about 118-120mph, heavy breaking into 2, came out of that at about 75, and got to 3 doing about 80-85, heavy breaking, downshift into 3rd, hard turn left, followed by a quick R-L-L, accelerating from turn 5 thru turn 6 and almost hitting 100 at turn 7. Heavy Heavy Heavy braking into turn 7, hard right, on the gas thru 8 & 9. Medium braking into/thru 10, on the gas thru 11 & 12, braking into 13, turn hard right. Accelerating from 13, thru 14, medium touch on the brakes thru 15 and hard into 16 (the faster you exit 16, the faster you will be down the stretch. Hard braking into 17 (which is a double apex turn, very tricky, very deceiving, and end up pretty close to the wall--fly down the front straight, and almost hit 120 right after the start/finish line. There is a walk bridge over the exit to pit road, thats where I got my 120mph speed, and then hard braking into 1.

I'm ready to it again

ChinMotorsports.com has an event at Homestead in 2-3 weeks. They have the 2008 calendar listed online, but registration usually opens up for each event 2 months before, and sells out pretty fast.

If you get a chance to sign up, do it. You won't be disappointed.
