At Bill's Boston Cookie Party I got lots of pictures of the Healey, along with explanations and expertise. Bill's older brother used to run a Sports car repair and restoration shop, and when Bill was growing up he spent lots of hours working in his brother's shop repairing British sports cars. Unlike many teenagers, one of the first cars he owned was a Jaguar XKE. So he was already an expert at his hobby before he started working on this basket case about eleven years ago. All of the numbers agree on this baby and it is a beauty! Lots of work remains, but it appears to be coming together pretty fast right now. The new BRG paint still needs to be polished and buffed.
Bill has teased us with an occasional thread with some pictures of his work, but maybe these shots, that he helped me take, will give a better idea of how things are going in his garage and basement as of now. (G-Rod helped, too as you will see.)
Hours of research and constant checking of parts and numbers have made the going slow. All of the fasteners have to be authentic and have the proper stamping.
I saw lots of official books, and manuals, -- and diagrams, and instructions
For anyone who might not know exactly what the big Healey will look like when it is finished, here is a picture of a restored 1967 MkIII from somewhere on the internet.
Bill, I'm glad I finally got to see the car in person. I hope you'll drive it to a Vintage meet sometime soon.

Thanks Jim. I wish someone could restore my hair!
Well, you got all those guys out there, actors, professionals, and basketball stars, emulating your manly style by shaving their scalp and using carnauba wax!
(Anyway, in this photo, you look like you suddenly acquired a fully restored head of hair up on top).
