Default CR specific alignment info

helms 2000-2008 service manual arrived today. it does have CR specific info, this makes me happy because i already had the 2000-2006 service manual. so, to me, this was not a waste of $125 for the new issue.

the only difference in alignment specs is the Rear Toe-In, all other specs appear to be the same.

00-03 models 6.0+/- 2mm. (0.24+/-0.08 in.)

04-08 models:
except CR model: 3.6+/- 2mm. (0.14+/-0.08 in.)
CR model: 5.5+/- 2mm. (0.22+/-0.08 in.)

fyi.

who aligns their car to factory specs that hangs out in here? heh

Interesting that they put the static toe back in. I assume it went to less in the ap2 because of the suspension change. None the less the range of adjustment is the same on all cars. and back to my first question

So rear toe at 0 would still be optimal?

I'm going with this spec after the new setup is in:

Front:
Camber - 2
Caster - 7.5
Toe - 0

Rear:
Camber - 2.5
Toe - 0
Thrust Angle - 0

optimal and alignment rarely should be used in the same sentance.

optimal for what track? what tires? what sway bar? surface? wheels?

You guys are brave running 0 rear toe. I think we have 1/4" total or 1/8" per side.

I run just about 0 toe (~1/32 to 1/16th in) I love it.

Comparing rear toe settings is meaningless given the differences in setup (Stock class autocrosser vs. heavily modified road race car) and application (autocross vs. big track).

My read of the factory alignment settings is that the CR's probably more predisposed to tail happiness since the factory spec has more toe-in.
