Default Front and Rear Bumpsteer Kits installed

Just installed the T1R front and rear bumpsteer kits on the GF's ap1 last night. Just thought I'd share some pics and my thoughts on the products.

Here are the pics:

Front:

Rear

Driving feel after the the bumpsteer kit was installed:

The spherical bearings which replaced the stock rubber bushings in the rear pretty much eliminates any bumpsteer / unstability you get on bumpy roads that was there before the kit was installed. It gave me alot more confidence to drive on our shitty Vancouver streets. Difference from the front bumpsteer kit is felt as well, steering feels more solid (yes, my explaination sucks ) than before.

I am waiting to try it out more under wet road conditions. So far the car feels alot more stable than before, and it is definitely a worthwhile mod, especially on an AP1. Downside is minor modification is required to install the rear kit on a 00-02 AP1, but I'm super so I overcame that no problem.

If anyone is interested in doing this mod to their car. I am able to offer good prices and installation for local S2Ki members. PM me or post on this thread if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Justin

SOON Alex, we're probably gonna have the website part up first, and put up the online store part after.

i don't think your reason for the rear bumpsteer kit resolving the bumpsteer issue is accurate.

also, what modification is required to install the rear bumpsteer kit? did you have problems fitting inside a 16" oem wheel?

What I think fireman meant was

In order to use T1R rear bumpsteer kits you would need a minimum of a 17"rim

what about on a non-lowered stock ride height 16" oem wheel?

if it clears, it should work fine correct?

i saw a picture of a j's racing rear bsk kit clearing a 16" wheel...

have you had experience in which it did NOT fit?

i ran it with the 16" works emotion forged and it clears fine with about 5mm of clearance, it was 8" wide and +45mm offset

i've heard from members who run it with 16" OEM wheels that it doesnt clear unless the castle nut is shaved down like 3-4mm or so but if you have an aftermarket 16" with a good offset like +50 or lower, it might fit

and yea, from the wording of SK's reason of why the rear kit eliminates rear bumpsteer because of spherical bearings, it is not 100% accurate. maybe he worded it wrong by mistake but the rear bsk eliminate bumpsteer by correcting the geometry or travel arc with respect to the rear lower control arm. it simply puts it at the same traveling arc as the control arms upon suspension travel
