White smoke coming out of engine bay.
Posted this in "Under the Hood" and only got one response...was wondering if you guys have some opinions. Thanks!

It was raining today and visibility was not the very best. Anyway, I took a turn into a lot and did not notice a deep puddle (about a foot deep) .... splaaaaashhh! Braked to a stop then started backing out. Then white smoke started coming out of the hood
. I then proceeded to drive the car to a safe spot where I can inspect the engine bay. While driving, the smoke kept up for maybe a minute. Did I damage my baby?
Inspecting the engine, I did not notice water in the air intake, or the top of the valve cover, water was everywhere else though. She seems to be driving fine. Is there anything I should watch for? Any specific symptoms I should look for? I'm getting paranoid. Thanks guys.

Did you recently modify your car? Maybe used some WD40, pimp shine juice, or liquid wrench? If so, the heat is just burning it off. If not, I would look for leaks. Start by identifying exactly where the smoke is coming from, if you can't find it that way, look around for residue.
