Default Are OZ superleggra's really 15lbs for 17x7?

Guys,

I know a few people run these and I saw their ads listing the 17x7 at 15lbs. Is this true? If so aren't they unbelievably light and really reasonably priced? Any drawbacks?

thanks!

I'm not positive, but as I recall those wheels are Cast, not forged and weigh over 20lbs in 17".

The mfg. claims the wheels are cast from an aluminum / Ti alloy and weigh a little over 15 lbs. I didn't weigh mine but out of the box they feel very light. Do some shopping and you might find the wheels for as little as $225 each.

yes, well close. i got a set of 17x8 for my m3 and they weigh in at just under 16lbs. so 17x7 might very well weigh 15lbs. best bang for the buck on a lightweight wheel

I took a good look at them as well, but the OZ SuperLeggera wasn't offered in offsets compatible with the S2000. I communicated with OZ but they said the offsets I wanted would require a unique wheel especially for the S2000. They said they wouldn't be developing a special S2000 exclusive wheel.

At the offsets provided, a fully loaded Superleggera could rub the fenders. Even more of an issue if your car were lowered.

Quite a few people are running Superleggeras on their S2000s.

I'm running 18x8 fronts and 18x9 rears OZ Superlegs. and my car is lowered with KG/mm DR21 Race springs. I do not have any rubbing/fender scratching issues! The offsets are +45 fronts and +55 rears...that's if my memory serves me well...

Here's a few pics:
