Another participant for a windshield tape removal, eh?

I have done it on my Suzuka Blue and IMO, it looks great. I was skeptical about it before thinking it would not look good with top UP, but man, have I made a right decision.

No pics at this moment, but maybe I will drive by you someday

I made the dealer do it before I would take the car. The car looks better with the tape off IMHO.

The tape finally came off... took 15minutes. OOH MY GOD... what was Honda thinking putting such an ugly black tape on it like that?

It's a must do.... pictures coming soon once it's sunny again.

Here's the shot, watch the windshield. She came off cleanly without any problem. Probably thanks to the sun today, I parked outside all day so that must have helped.

OMG, looks just like my car from that angle

Glad you like the new look. When I peeled off my tape, there were some swirl marks, which I removed no problem with a scratch remover...

Hope to catch you drive by

Ok, so I'm assuming that the paint under the tape looks identical to the paint on the car, clearcoat and everything?

Jeff, it's identical. I'm curious on how long people had their car before they peel the tape. A mechanic at the Westwood told me to remove the tape ASAP if I want to take it off, otherwise the longer I wait the more the glue melt onto the frame.

Also when you are peeling try to pull away from you, at about 50-60 degree angle. I noticed the glue get stuck on the frame if you have the angle too low.

The perfect angle

__tape____ you

<<< pull direction (more like push, but you're pulling up and away)

make sure to use both hands, hold the tape on the left and right edge to keep it from ripping on the edges.
