I haven't done this mod because I'm not yet convinced it's worth doing. If I could see a full body pic of the end result, it might convince me though. Right now, it just seems to be one of those kind of mods that if done in reverse, someone would say it looks better with the latter results.

I have a Tape horror story actually. I had my Silverstone '01 for about 2 months when I removed my tape. I was shocked to see what lied underneath... My best guess is that when the factory installed the tape the first time, they screwed up and peeled it off. There's about a 3" strip around the top passenger side corner where it appears they used steel wool or something to get the glue off. The clear coat and most of the paint there is gone... Keep in mind that I only peeled the tape back and discovered this. I was seriously pissed... Honda screwed it up and then covered it up.. I couldnt believe it. I never tried to get the dealer to do anything about it, but I guess I should have. It's not very noticeable until you look closely, but it looks like ass IMHO. Oh well. Just something else to repair along with rock chips...

Hay-soos Christ, I had NO IDEA there was tape that could be peeled off! I've had my bluety (uh, acronym for blue beauty. Sorry)for a month now, and the dealer didn't mention a thing about it.

Although - I thought it was odd that there would be
this dull black plastic around the windshield. I mean, such a gorgeous car and here you have dull plastic in clear view. Now I know.

I'm fixin' to do mine asta pronto. It's been sittin' in the sun all day,
so it's outta here.

-V.
