Ok here's my lowdown

Mine is a 2005 Silverstone with red/black interior.

I bought it new on 4th of July weekend in 2005, so I've had it 3 years.

I started out looking at the new Eclipse. I saw an ad for it on yahoo.com and liked
the color. But when I found out that I could get a convertible for 3k more than the
Eclipse, it was a no-brainer. I still remember clear as day driving out of the dealership
for the first time.

A couple of pictures, courtesy of Zippy Dave!

My major mods are an OEM front lip, OEM rear spoiler and Eibach Pro Kit springs.
Minor mods include a CF radiator cover, Voodoo shift knob and Redline Tuning hood dampers.

Also put $1000 into upgrading the stereo system, as we all know how wonderful
the OEM stuff is.

I found s2ki when I did a search for Honda S2000 on Google and this is the first
web site that came up. I wanted to find a place to learn more about the car and
perhaps attend some meets.

I'm very glad I did that, I've met some great people and had a lot of fun going
to meets and on drives with everyone I've met and would definitely do it again!

Date S2k was Bought:

1st one was a 2002 berlina/black interior that I bought new in July of 2002. I kept that one for about two years and then sold it around Sept. of 2004.

The 2nd one, which I own now, was bought in Oct. of 2006.

Year make and Model:
2002 S2000 Berlina with black interior

Mods:

Invidia V1 exhaust with custom resonator mod
AEM CAI
Emanage Ultimate pre-tuned by Giles
SS brake lines
Hawk HPS pads
Powdercoated AP1 wheels, valve cover, brake calipers and odds/ends
Voodoo pearl knob
OEM HT
Every piece of glass tinted
12" sub in tool well
Alphasonik components molded into doors
Alphasonik 4ch amp
7" touchscreen in dash
custom carPC for Nav, XM, MP3, games, etc..
Mulderized headlights and tail lights
lowered 1.3" on Espilirs
shaved emblems
shaved antenna
stealth V1 mount

Who or What brought you to S2ki ?
I found s2ki the day after I bought my S while I was searching the net for some mod ideas. I found Eric who had the sebring with red interior. He told me to meet up with him and Max with the Spa at Garden city and the rest was history. We all ended up starting the Amphetamine club and had a great time until I got out of it for 2 years.

What were your initial thoughts of the group ? And how do they fair now ?
Back when I started there were more folks into modding and the cars themselves were new so it was a different experience. Now the mod bug seems to be coming back but for a while this place was all about dinner and a movie.

Would you do it again?
If I had to do it over, I would have bought my first S2k and still made all the friends I had from here but I would not have bought the one I have now. I should have held out for an NSX

Pics:

Some shots of my first S2k:

My current S2k, some things may have changed since I buy/sell mods as frequently as I change my underwear

Car enthusiast and Honda lover.

What were your initial thoughts of the group ? And how do they fair now ?
Initial, very friendly and helpful. I've noticed over the years a number of new members, probably due to more S's around now and being sold used.
Would you do it again ?
Yupper. I still love driving the S around, even if it's not the fastest car. It's still a hoot to drive.

My car is the first S.

Years of ownership: 2.5

Who or What brought you to S2ki ? I am a forum whore, pretty much scoped out this site and peoples thoughts/experiences with the car before pulling the trigger

What were your initial thoughts of the group ? And how do they fair now ? at first I just used s2ki as a library of knowledge and to kill time at work. This year i have been to a few meets ( Bills brake meet, Headlight clearing day, Drive the Mohawk and a Kimballs night) Happy i decided to be more active as I learned alot at the tech meets, As well as saved money. Even more important I met some great people and had fun.

As much drama as the the new england forum has everyone seams to get along for the most part and its entertaining!

Would you do it again? Of course, i wish i would have gotten an 03 AP1 White with red interior, but I do love my silverstone as well.

edit, forgot the pics!

Around when I first got it, ( probably the only time it has seen the snow while i owned it)

The interior that had me sold

The spoiler and my NH plate

Smoked headlights thanks to S2ki

OEM Lip and AP2 V2 wheels!

bought an 01 in March of 02 - it was a left over and my second meet was the same meet that scott mentioned at babson

my first meet was the second day of ownership and it was a hellish drive with glenn, dana, derick chip, and dan down to CT - i was hung over and it was a white knuckled drive and then went to some race track.. after that there was always a meet / tech day / cook out etc etc etc - fall colors 02 and 03 and those trips to Garden city with Jeff (grilled cheese and those $500.00 speeding tickets )

pretty sure i didn't mod the spa much - although scott, glenn, Jeff, and john did

then in 04 i wanted something new so me and ben and i and forget who else was with us but we took a ride to Boch Honda after a Ferrari / s2k meet at ChrisfromRI's house. which was the same day i met Cubby

next thing you know i owed an 04 GPW

pretty sure i didn't mod that one either ..

kept it for a year and then heard that i could either buy the house i am in or move out.. and while i loved the S (or more so the friends i've met because of the S) it was time to change priories and sell the car so i could pay the mortgage.

i've been hooked on s2ki since day one.. it's a lot of fun and still my homepage.

if it different? sure it is - things change, relationships change. i do know that if i need help most everyone here will drop everything and help and i hope they feel the same

oh and Puff - This is new england we do not need anyone to lock / delete/ monitor threads - be a CO not a mod
