Mugen RR Vs S2000 Fifth Gear
I saw that; No suprise really tbh; The car is lighter and is set up better for track use by the sounds; also has the same or a tad more power and more torque.
Same result occured on Best Motoring when it was pitched against both the standard Jap S and also the newer one with the horrible rear wing; The Mugen started the race at the back of the grid at Tsukuba and easily passed both S's
Bear in mind this is a Mugen modified CTR; I'm sure a Mugen modified S would have put up a better fight

That is a serious punishing.
what like Porsche 911 faster than 1.6 ford Sierra?Meaningless comparison - the S2000 has never been the fastest car in the world for one and for 2 in standard form it's a road car unlike the RR which if you listened to what Plato said is a thinly disgusied track car. TBH I was expecting the RR to be at least 5 seconds faster and in reality it was less than 2! In my book that makes the RR fairly useless.
My statement is correct regardless of the background to the 2 cars, it's not meant to be offensive towards the S.
That sort of gap over a short lap is a lot.
I found it quite interesting.
FWD Vtec versus RWD Vtec
5 seconds would be really unlikley on a very short track IMO.
