This year's Mt. St. Helens drive was our first real streak of bad luck with the weather. We have had many drives that had a gloomy forecast but then turned out to be beautiful on the drive. This time we had a good forecast in the week prior to the drive but ran afoul of the weatherman...
We started out with a group breakfast:

Huy entertains the group with stories from the ER:

Aaron does the "legal thing" with the liability releases:

And Elizabeth humbles herself by having to show Aaron her driver
Im posting real quick to say thank you to everyone for a great drive, a fun lunch and the great companionship as always. If Teresa doesnt get them up to Photobucket, i will post them on my return.
Paul, happy birthday again, man.
Elizabeth, it was a wonderful party and delicious food.
Also, you two tell Jean I enjoyed talking with her.
Looking forward to a sunnier October drive (i hope)
I will get some of the pics uploaded and do a little write up. Since Aaron will be gone, I'll have plenty of time.
Both Aaron and I were talking about how much fun we have had with this group and about how joining was one of the best things we have ever done. We have made some awesome friends!
Thank you Elizabeth and Paul for hosting a wonderful party! Happy Birthday Paul!
I promise not to speed on the way home. If I'm going to get another ticket, I'll be sure to make it worthwhile. Go big or go home right?
Sorry I missed this drive. It was a real bummer, but I got to hear all about it at the party and now I am even more bummed that I did not get to join the drive.
It sounded like everyone had an awesome time, even with the rain.
Well like always it was fun and great to hang around with my friends. There's so many people it was hard trying to talk to everyone.
Sorry for leaving early, the CEL just bugs me and really doesn't allow me to drive it hard especially during our drives. Thank you Dave for taking in Sandi as a rider. I owe you one. She would have been bored at the shops. Jim thank you for the fix-a-flat, you didn't have to.
This was basically my first time taking pictures of rolling cars from a standing point of view. I set the camera to manual focus and focused on a specific spot. Then I tried to take the picture on that spot for each car. But as you'll see, I didn't wait long enough for most of them and only the front end of the car is in focus. Maybe on future drives I'll get better
