Default Columbia, SC Plane Crash

Not sure if you heard the news about a Lear Jet that crashed last night/this morning in Columbia. 6 passengers, two of those being Travis Barker (formerly of Blink 182) and DJ AM....both of which played for our T-Mobile event in Columbia last night.

The plane crashed killing 4 of the 6 on board.

DJ AM and Travis Barker survived the crash and are listed in critical condition in Augusta, GA.

APPROVED MEDIA STATEMENT

Like everyone, T-Mobile was deeply saddened to learn of the accident involving Travis Barker and DJ AM.

Very sad. I'm not sure about DJAM, but I know Travis Barker has young children. It hits close to home for me and I hope he makes it through for them. Godspeed his recovery.

I used to be a pilot. I never flew anything as large as a lear, but even in smaller planes we were trained extensively for mid-air emergencies and crash procedures. I can't recall ever training for an emergency that would occur on the ground.

I hope they come out all right. Severe burns are awful. From what I have read in some articles DJ AM was burned very badly probably over 50% of his body including significant burns on his face and Barker was burned mainly from the waist down. Who knows how accurate that is. They have a very long road ahead of them. Recovering from serious burns is an awful, awful torture that I wouldn't wish on anyone...
