BE CAREFUL when lowering your top...
i went out to lunch today and lowered the top, but it seemed to have gotten stuck about halfway down. i wasn't paying too much attention because i was buckling my seatbelt at the same time, but i realized it was stuck and immediately raised it. it turns out it started folding wrong as i was lowering it and the glass window was caught in a position that it shouldn't have been in.
i read about someone else who shattered his glass window a couple times because it wasn't folding properly. i suppose a good rule of thumb is to count down from 4 when you lower it and if it isn't all the way down when you stop counting, immediately reverse course and re-fold or re-arrange the top so that it closes properly.

Never heard of this situation as well. Hopefully it is just an issue with the AP2 tops. Fortunately, I have never once had a problem with my top or it getting stuck.. ***knock on wood***

I have had this happen as well on an MY08. Sometimes it just pauses and then makes a popping sound and goes down all the way. I think it is one of the bars not sliding properly back.
Check the elasticity on the straps on your top. I'll bet they have lost a good bit. When that happens not only do you have to watch out for the glass, but it is common to punch a couple of fist size holes in the top just behind the latches.
Replace the straps or get the modifry auxilliary straps, it will solve the problem.

i learned for a member long ago, that when you are putting the top down, i place my left hand up and push back the middle bar that folds back to ensure that it folds back properly.
if you look while its folding back, you will see what bar im talking about
you will only need to assist it back to a certain point, you will know when
basically its the fold back point, at the apex
ill try to post pics tomorrow
