Default Jealousy of the S2000 has another victim....ME!!!!

I'm not sure when this happened...but the results have a mixed blessing.

The first pic is what you see from about 3 ft, at an angle to allow the photo...even harder to see when you aren't looking, don't expect to see it, etc.

A closeup of the spot.

If you can't tell what it is by the photo... ITS A @#$@#$@#@%@ BB GUN SHOT

Like I said, can't say for sure when it happened, could have been a couple of days, I noticed it because I bent down to look at a rock chip that I had heard happen to the rocker panel just below the BB shot. (I heard it happen Monday night, got out of the car...leaving the door OPEN!...and checked the area...saw the spot on the rocker...found the rock in the road...got back in and drove off....DAMN)

NOW, The mixed blessing part

Next Day, I had my car serviced yesterday and drove back with no problems ~65 miles, stopped at a friends house on the way back for about an hour (BB shot discussion), drove home ~8 more miles, and parked in the garage. I attempted to take some pics of the car and the BB shot but the lighting resulted in a flash, bad pics, etc. I decided to wait till morning and take the pics in the Sun....

I pulled the car out of the garage, took the pic of the door and looked back towards the garage

The upper part of this picture is what I saw!!! imagine the S2000 covering the right portion.

YEP, its OIL and its coming from the loose filter...

Pic of the filter, spots of oil and drips below on the garage mat/carpet.

The oil only dripped when the engine was ON! and it left only a very small spot where I had parked in the garage. I tighted the oil filter (filter could be easily turned and needed to be rotated at least 1/2 a turn).

Then the part I dreaded...checking the oil level....

It was RIGHT AT FULLLLLLLLL!!!!!!! JOY HAPPINESS HEAVENS OPEN

If I had not taken the picture I might have drove all the way to work ~16 miles....I'd rather not think about that!

I'm really sorry to see that It should be legalized to kill the person who does these things to cars. I hope it can easily be repaired. And good thing you caught the oil leaking.. that would have been bad news.

Suzuka2k,

I have had a similar experience with the oil change. I've had two changes. Each time the oil filter was replaced, old oil was dripped onto the frame below. The first time I had a puddle on my driveway ( which is steep) about a quarter of the one you had. Just another thing I have on my checklist to look for when I have the car serviced. Caught them spilling the filter oil both times inside the engine compartment. Made them clean it up before I paid for the service.

BB gun? Get the heck out of that place. Next, you'll be seeing a pellet go through your windshield with shattered glass laying around.

Suzuka2k! So sorry to see that some little pre-pubescent brat shot your car with a BB, AND that you got bad service on your oil change! Double whammy.

If you or cantdrive55 or any other Rocky Mountain members need any service on your S2000 and don't trust the "big" shops, I can perform this for you at my little shop (er... home garage) in Arvada. At least until I get a real job, that is.

My car got spit on at Walmart the other night. I didn't flip out, but I just felt like leaving the car there. Why do people do that shit?
