Default shifter occasionally gets kicked out of gear...

Anyone else have this problem?

it rarely ever does it, but I don't like it doing it at all.

anyone have any idea why it's doing this, and anyone have any idea how much it would cost to have made right?

How many miles are on the car?

You might want to start with changing the MTF first and see if that helps.

Most people go with the Honda MTF and it does seem to help.

is it a random gear each time it kicks out? or is it the same gear the shifter gets kicked out each time?

It's done it with 1st, and 4th that I remember - it seems like there were other gears that did it also.

Has the MTF been changed in the car? Start with the basics. Change the MTF and see if that helps the issue. There are many here that have just changed the fluid and the problem went away. Here is a DYI https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?act=S...22&t=565855&st= . Its easy to do yourself and it only cost about $12 for the MTF.

Try it.

I think I will.

I wanna get my hands dirty more with this car than with previous cars I've owned.
