Wheels In Motion Visit
I recently took my S2000 to Tony at Wheels in Motion in Chesham which is just up the road from me in Watford and got him to do some work on the car.
The car had a new clutch fitted (Excedy)
Full Powerflex Purple Polybush kit fitted
Cusco Front and Rear ARB's
Cusco Front and Rear Lower Brace Bars
Cusco Front Upper Strut Bar
Wheels In Motion Initial Geometry Setup (The beauty here is each additional adjustment now is free)
First, We have the parts
Cusco Bits

PowerFlex Bits

Clutch Bits

Tony then got to work and fitted the bits ! Luckily I only had siezed rear camber bushes. This was something I knew after a previous visit to Center Gravity where Chris had fitted Mugen Caster bushes and powerflex rear toe bushes.
So, off came the wishbones with the old bushes

And on when the new bushes

Quick picture showing the arms back in with the bushes fitted

After the bushes, in went the new front and rear ARBS

Unfortunately when removing the old rear ARBs the droplinks didnt survive.

And then the front and rear lower brace bars

Unfortunately I dont have a picture of the cusco strut bar fitted at the moment.
After this was all fitted, Tony got it up on the ramps and got the car lined up.

After an hour of tweaking this was where we stood

The plan now is I'll be taking the car back on the track later this month, and based on my feedback we'll go for our first itteration of what the geometry needs to be.
I've spoken to Tony as a few people have PM'd me asking for details on this work already and he is keen to help us S2k owners out however he can. Please feel free to ask questions in here and I'll get Tony to have a peek and try and answer any questions you all may have.
I have to be honest and say Tony has been an absolute star, and I can't fault the quality of the work done in any way. I have previously used Chris at Center Gravity but went to Tony as a few people here had given it a go, and with him being so close it seemed to make sense to give it a try... delighted I did it !
I got the parts from Amber Performance (Cheers Jason) and had them shipped directly to Wheels In Motion and let Tony do what he does best.

Tony if you are looking in I would be very interested in a WIM supply and fit option for all the bushes and bracing mentioned here? Or a price for the fitting and reseting the geo at least if you do want to be involved in supply?

I have to respect trader rules but since this thread is about us i think i'm safe.
In truth i don't have the buying power for S2000 parts so i suggest you source them yourself, we have no problem fitting COP (Customers Own Property)
conanius did say he would display the costings for his work.... Once again if i do then i'm pushing the trader rules again.
What i can say is we gave this car a base Geometry calibration for conanius to test... after a few weeks and track days we can fine-tune the calibration to suit conanius requests from the chassis. We do not use past, proven calibrations on modified cars since they are unique to each particular owner.
Some may think "you talking rubbish!!"
Well the reason the Geometry needs to be fine-tuned is the modified chassis has a different frequency making the car harder to drive.... us humans also have a frequency or Hz ps where we feel comfortable to drive the car, normally around 2 Hzps or 2 actions ps to drive subliminally.
This cars chassis frequency may now be around 3 or 4 Hzpc meaning to conanius the car is over-reactive, or he may have a natural human frequency able to tolerate a higher Hz in which case he will find the chassis under-reactive.
We don't know?...... It's the base template and his feedback that determines how the chassis calibration gets fine-tuned and it's for all the reasons above the fine-tune is free.

Including a clutch change tony charged me 1800, that includes the new rear drop links and new camber bolts. I paid just over 900 for the cusco and powerflex parts.
Tony is around on these forums so I'll point him in here but give him a call if you have any questions :-)

Do you use crystals, or prefer subliminal Kalman messaging?
Don't smell the flowers....
