Default Driver Window Fails to go down with Top

I was read a thread on this, and it seams that the Power Window motor was the part that needed to be replaced. I saw the there where no MY02 listed in the thread. My 02 started doing just that. It stops 2-3" when the top is put down. If I stop and restart the top, it starts again and goes 2-3" again. The door switch still works properly. Is thsi the same as other have seen? Is there any others having this issue with MY02?

Thanks

My '02 just started exhibiting the same behavior! The driver's window lowers maybe a third of the way when the top goes down (rather than all the way). The window down switch will still bring the window all the way down.

Boy, the windows seem to be a recurring nightmare. There are a bunch of other threads on this subject. It appears Honda has some gremlins.

I just got my S2000 this weekend, so I haven't seen this issue yet.

Best of luck.

My 2000 S2000 dates back to February, 2000 and the top is typically up and down on average twice a day almost every day. The dealer replaced the regulator for my driver's side window in August last year and tomorrow I'm taking the car in to have it replaced again.

The window starting sticking last week... glad it did it now rather than later since I'm at 34,600 miles. I believe this problem is covered under TSB 01-008.

My windows do it...not a big deal. I put the windows down first before I open the top.

IMO the problem is not with the regulator but with the Programming of the Power Window Control Module.

It looks like we can add '02 models to the list as well:

This is the same problem. It also seems to be heat related, since mine doesn't work when it's cold outside, but works intermittantly when it's hot. It does work after you manually run the window all the way down and back up again. More of a PITA than anything.

Thanks, it is nice to see it is not just me. As for cold, Texas is just not that.

I will be @ the dealer for this on Sat. I needed oil, and thought I would kill two birds....

I have that problem every once in a while, it's doesn't happen every time, though. That's why I havn't taken it to the dealer yet, because the second I take it in, it won't do it.

Mines an '02 also.

If you can reproduce this problem to the dealer's service rep, they will take care of it. I had mine done 2 weeks ago.
