Default What to do in the Winter?

Hey All,

Curious what you do in the winter time when the weather turns sour. I was planning on buying a cheap car to use a crasher this winter and put my S2000 in storage. Anyone out there actually drive theres all winter long in the New England area?

Any suggestions on what to buy and where to buy it for a cheap car for winter?

Done it for the past 3 winters!!! If you have the right tires its not that bad. I am planning on picking up a Mazda 323 mid 90's.

How much the Mazda cost you think? I was hoping to spend between 2-3 grand. Hopefully that enough.

Hobb,

Don't do it. You'll hate yourself for getting salt and other crap into your engine bay and your undercarriage.

Also, the S2000 is so low, that I can't imagine how you wouldn't ding the front up badly.

Pinky is pretty ballsy running his car in winter... Of course, the last two NE winters have been mild. I can only say this:

- rear-wheel drive
- light car
- fat tires

Recipe for disaster, if ya' ask me.
