Hey, he posts!!! Nice to see you online, Joe.

The ride in your car cinched the deal, no question, but it's true that I admired the S2000 before that.

Everyone feels differently (and strongly) about the subject of winter driving, so I'm totally live and let live about it. One point made by the pro-winter folks has made an impression on me -- the S2000 is a *safe* car, structurally speaking. Some other thread posted a pointer to crash test videos, and it was astonishing how well the S2000's frame protects the passengers.

I think if one puts the S2000 away in order to drive a true "winter beater," one might be making a mistake. Rollovers notwithstanding, a POS won't protect you as well in an accident, and I don't think any of us likes driving a piece of junk.

That said, I like the control of a 4x4 during the winter months, so I'll give my S2000 a break. Also, my Suzuki gets awesome mileage for a truck, and I can't complain about that!
Best wishes!

I live in Toronto and own 00 S like xv.
We dont get snow as much as Calgary but we still get more then any city in the USA.
My cars has never been winter driven with only 34000 km.
This is my first month riding around in the S during winter.
I dont use it if the road has even 1 cm snow and on the highway and local roads i stay about 25 meters behind the car infront of me to keep all the salt from chipping away at my paint.

The search button, along with the web site must be working today.

What do we do in the winter? We wait for spring. It's not too springlike today.
