Definetly Have a LEMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well since i had to pay 5g's out of my pocket to fix the rear end I have gone nothing but wasy on the S2K. So im driving home yesterday from work and i engage first gently as usual (the at clutch is nothing that is gentle), and i go up to about 7400 rpm. Went to shift fairly quick into second and i hear a POP as second is engaging, from there i hear the wonderful sound of a engine revving but not going anywhere. Thats right folks second gear is completely gone!! Well i took her in this morning and i am waiting to hear the usual "We are not going to fix due to driver abuse". So I am getting ready to take another 4.5g's in the ass. Just thought you all would like to know. Oh and by the this is the fourth main drivetrain issue in just over 12000 miles. (synchros, clutch, rear-end, now second gear)
Wait so your assuming that i cant drive that car? Your a joke my friend and just as much of a ignorant ass as the DSM. 4 major drivetrain issues in 12g's worth of miles. I dont care how shitty of a driver you are there is no excuse.
I can see how the dealer would come to that conclusion, based on your history and your age. Without having been in the car for every mile it was driven, there's no way anyone could prove or disprove your statement that you don't abuse your driveline. So it's your word against there's, and they always win.
I'd suspect something is seriously out of whack in your car though - something out of balance/out of spec that is destroying your drivetrain. Or maybe you're just beating the hell out of it and don't know it
Did you buy your S2000 new?

I dont think infinitebass is saying you cannot drive the car, but perhaps that you bought the wrong kind of car for your driving habits. it doesn't take abuse that well. and the 6 puck ACT is a little rough on the rear end, and you aren't the first person to do this kind of damage with that setup.
also, in regards to a former post you had about the dealer emailing everyone out there about your VIN - the S2000 is rare, and they report it to the tech center of Honda, so all the dealers will know which car this is - they don't have much control over this.
I wish your baby back to speedy recovery!

Good luck getting these issues sorted out loving_my_S2K. These mechanical failures seem rather unusual to me. Not knowing all the details I'm not sure if there is much I can do to help. It seems you have already contacted the District Service Manager so I can't suggest that. I'm thinking though you might want to keep trying to befriend him on this issue. Another thought would be to ask him if he could suggest another dealer to do the work this time, and insist another dealer does the work, in a nice way. The idea is to suggest without saying so that the original mechanical team may have overlooked something. Sort of like getting a second Doctor's opinion.
Don't give up on Honda or the DSM. Treat these people as your friend and be patient with them. You might have a turn of events that leaves you feeling happy and supported by AHM. Good luck.
Well the district service rep has treated me like nothing but a young punk in a 40G car. The minute he knows its me he screams abuse and im sick of it, i do not abuse the car.
