50 mm i think with a filter i pad a little over 100 combined.

willing to sell seperatly for $75

 

Best combo IMHO is what I've put together after buying stuff and selling it to upgrade just like you're doing. I've been a victim of "buy nice or you end up buying twice".

EOS 40D
17-55 f2.8 (constant aperture zoom-through, has L glass in it but isn't called an L because it's an EF-S mount)
70-200 f4.0 L (constant aperture zoon-through)
50 f1.8 (a cheapie but a goodie, you should keep yours)
