Default promise rings

hey, ok so. i live in new York right now, and my family and i are moving to north Carolina kinda soon. but i started going out with this girl fairly recently. its almost 2 months. i know seems like not very long. but we've fallen completely in love with each other..as I'm sure everyone says that.

but my whole family thinks we got something really special. like my brother and his ex went out for like a year and a half, and my whole family thinks that in 2 months my girlfriend and i have a stronger relationship then they did after a while.

now, we wanna get promise rings for whatever the reasoning, but. im just trying to gage peoples thoughts on this. any one done it before, any one in my kinda situation??

any input would be greatly appreciated.

If you need something tangible to symbolize the promise you've made to stay faithful, the feelings you have for one another are not strong enough and the promise is worthless.

Waste of money.

promise rings are meant to be broken, lol

my advice...they are useless. That is what engagement rings are for.
I'm speaking from experience here as well. Similar situation as you, only was about 9 months in to the relationship and was several years ago.

what exactly are you looking for here. if you and the girl want to wear pretty rings to symbolize your 2 month old love for eachother, do it. you're going to get nothing but cynicism from the people on this forum though.

19..umm, nothing in specific i guess, just more or less just like a general be faithful to each other type of thing..we're not thinking of getting them to be like, hey this ring is the only thing from keeping us being faithful to each other or w.e.. its just like an add-on to our love for each other or something..idk i cant really describe it.

rings mean nothing, except you spent some money on something shiny, hell i have a wedding band and it means nothing, sure i wear it but it's just a piece of jewlery, it's the love that counts
