Default I want to know if any architec can give me a hand.

Hello! I just wanted an Architec to hear me out for a sec(or two). My dad was an architect back in Colombia(a great one). Thing is that when we moved over here from there(Colombia, in 93) his deplomas n all that good stuff, isn't worth poop here.

Well, recently, I've seen some of the models he does on AutoCAD and I dont need to be a Architec to know that he has some serious skill! I wanted to know if anyone in here knew maybe, like, a drafter company or something of that sort..

I mean, you have to see his work! Not cause he's my pop or anything, but the man has some serious skill. He has a couple of designes that he starts from scrath. He has app. buildings with clubhouse, pool, tree's, parkings Etc Etc.

He has also designed houses n all kinds of creative things. This man is real good.

I know that if a pro were to see some of his work, they'd be impressed! My dad just doesn't have the comfidence to go out and show it to ppl. He say's "im too old." That's what he say's for everything..

Also, my mom(they've been broken up for years) was dating a man that owned a restaurant n he wanted to redesigne part of the restaurant. Well, my mom knowing my pop has skill in this, she went to him to make something. Well, he did, n my mom's b/f paid him $500 and he went through with it.. He did it n loved it!

Good story. Crappy spelling. Dumber idea to post here...

If your dad was an architect and doesn't feel confident about his designs, that's really his bag of crap. But if you believe in him so much, why don't you just take them to a firm in your area and start there? Starting on the off-topic section of a car forum is stupid. Grow a brain.

Yeah, go hang yourself! FGT! And my brain might be a little bigger than yours. Seeing as you feel that you're a "big guy" by trying to put me down n calling me names.. If u didn't have something good/helpful to say, why did you reply?!

You're just what I like to call the typical bitch! Maybe you you were abused as a child n need the feel to pick on ppl to get by. You're probably a little or a lot over weight..

If he doesn't believe in himself, ho w do you expect he'll get others to?

It would probably be a good idea to have him create a website including his resume and a portfolio of his prior projects. If they're that good, the work will speak for itself...although it's still going to be difficult esp. after 16 years off (assuming I interpreted your post correctly).

Good luck to you and your dad!

Just for future reference, telling someone to suicide, calling them a faggot, a bitch, and fat is a good way to get your own thread locked.

Anyways, you should have your pops find a recruiter in your area. I was a recruiter for a few years before getting back into school, an I can honestly say experience > education. The only time I had companies be particular about education was when it was a gov. funded project. Your pops will probably be confined to contract work (going from project to project at different companies) but atleast he'll be doing what he loves.. And getting paid
