Default what to wash the mits and cloths with

I've always used sponges to wash, chamois to dry, and old shirts/cotton sheets to polish.

Just to go with my new S (an excuse ) I've just bought Meguiars microfibre cloth and mits. They say they are machine washable, but doesn't tell you the temp or the washing detergents I can use with them.

What's the norm around here? Thanks

welcome to thecar and to this board!

best is a microfiber cleaner-
not necessary but some vinegar in the rinse cycle willl make them soft too.
do not wash mfs with other fabrics and keep the heat down/off.

QUOTE] NO FABRIC SOFTENER!![/QUOTE]

Funny, I was going to ask about that next.

Thanks for the tip. So, can I use Woolite at low temp (30 celcius, maybe) ?

I use liquid Tide. Hot water for the wash cycle. I add some vinegar to the first rinse cycle and then rinse a second time.

though i have a microfiber detergent, i've found another (and cheaper) way to do it is a product like tide for sensitive skin. it has no color or fragrance added, and good cleaning power.

i wouldn't recommend woolite only because it's made to be very mild in its cleaning ability which may not get out wax/sealant/polish residue from towels

g/l , and i sounds like someone is going to end up a future wacko....

You guys in the States seem to have the goods there. Wonder if I can get any of that stuff in UK. I'll ask in the UK forum as well. Cheers, guys
