Post the numbers are in

well here are the results and i am exteamly pleased. We still have a lot more room for hp/tq. The car is not tuned yet for meth and more boost is a definate possibility. For now im going to enjoy the ride. Im sure the car will be in for some more tuning in the near future.

Big thanks to Scott, Giles, Matt and the rest of the crew at Ballistic and Holyroller dyno. Looking forward to working with you more on this project.

Thanks for all the info and support from everyone on this site, could not have done it without you.

please read the info that giles has provided on the tune. It has some great info.

that looks very linear with a nice smooth flat torque curve.
it should have real nice drive-ability.
I've seem some curves where torque looks like a unit stair step.

good job Gilles on the tuning to get it right.

derrick, know when to say when....

What is the vtec engagement point on the build? Looks like the tq comes on at 4600 and stays very steady all the way to the rev limiter. Which has been stated that it has been raised.

I like the way the tq stays steady and than the hp builds to a cresendo at 8700 rpm. must feel fantastic just pulling steady like that.

sorry dave i was going to ask giles that question but i totally forgot to, maybe he will chime in here and help us out.

The flat TQ is fantastic, paired with boost by throtle position and the car is a pleasure to drive in all types of conditions, not just wide open throtle. Giles flattend out the curve, which i was happy about. The midrange torque was at 330 ftlbs and im guessing then tapered down from there. This is typical of the 3076r as it packs a big mid range punch but tends to fall off a bit up top. I like the car as is but my next move is having Giles install an over-boost button as suggested by him tho take advantage of the extra 50ftlbs of TQ.

VTEC is actually phased in on boost pressure rather than RPM. This is done to help the turbo not to spool at very low throttle angles but to spool faster when once power is demanded. Boost is actually phased in based on throttle position proving a linear torque increase based on throttle position.

The limiter has indeed been raised above 9000 rpm (stock is 8800 rpm) and the torque drop at 9000 rpm is intentional as it gives you that 'feel' that it is time to shift to help prevent bouncing off the limiter.
