Default J's ETD Causing AC line wear/leak

Hey, just wondering if any J's ETD owners have have this problem.
This season my AC did not work, so I just took it in and they said they found no leak but found the system was low. So $160 later I have a recharged AC, and its blowing cold.

I get home, and pop the hood, and I heard this hissing noise? I feel around and feel the line by the header (right where the ETD is), and found thats where its leaking. I kinda move the line a little and get my finger under there.....wow..this ETD has worn away the insulation and ground the line way down to cause a leak! I've never heard of this ebfore, and im not sure if people have modified their AC lines to accommodate this.

The ETD was put on by a previous owner and I think I can live without it. So, its off now... Now to repair the gash in the line

You need to replace the line, and have the drier replaced as well. It's well known the AC lines have to be bent to clear the damper unless you modify the body side mount.

The shop that charged the system should have found the leak.

This A/C line issue is one reason why I made the ETD mount.

you still making any more of those mounts? I came across a used Spoon ETD and I'm not looking to cut that bracket off.
