Default People with J's Engine Torque Damper..

what necessary modifications did you have to make to ensure that the AC condenser lines don't have any wear over prolonged ETD usage?

Thanks,
Kenneth

Bend them...up or down, out of the way of the ETD.

So your AC lines don't rest on anything at all?

Depends on which AC lines we are talking about. The AC lines that are cold (the ones with the black foam around them) just barely rest on the torque dampener.

The hot AC lines are held down by a little black bracket. When you unhook the bracket from the wall they sit up a little bit; just enough that they clear the torque dampener.

Having a aluminium AC line resting on any other object is asking for a problem. eventually a hole will be work into the line, and the refrigerant will leak out.

I made a new body side bracket which lowers the mounting point 1" to clear the lines, no bending required.

IMHO, not much. It looks nice. And I'd like to think it slightly reduces the vibration felt throught the shifter. After driving with and without it I can't tell when it's installed and not.

Otherwise it's making my car heavier.
