Reflecting...........
I woke up in the middle of the night last night for no real reason. while trying to get back to sleep I began reflecting on many things. One of those was the car and the drive I had yesterday up to Newbury and back down across to Petersfield - enjoyed it.
One of the things I began to reflect upon was the question of why I bought the S2000. After long thought I came up with the basic answer "because it's different", not because its better/worse than other cars - just different
When I drive around and see other cars I don't think to myself that my car is better/worse than theirs - just different.
I was musing on the way to work this morning and came to the conclusion that we S2000 owners are in the same category of people who buy other quirky cars - Trabant sprang into my mind
- you know what I mean though. I think S2000 owners are different too.

Bang on Shabs. It's a lovely morning here and I've just dropped Jan in to work with the top down.
It's a great car however you look at it, but it's best with the top down. It looks the best, sounds the best, and feels the best.
A lorry driver pulls alongside me this morning and blows his horn. Nearly shat myself, it sounded like a Channel steamer.!!! I looks up at the cab of this wagon towering above me on my offside. The drivers mate is hanging out the window with a big grin shouting "Beautiful car Mate!"and giving me a big thumbs up.
I wonder how many cars you get these kinds of experiences in. And the thing is... it happens all the time!

I was a SAAB 900 Turbo owner (but went off the car once the "classic" shape disappeared). I remember a survey being done which said that SAAB 900 classic owners were, typically, expressing their "individuality" - fits with the S2000 theory.
