Allright before anyone wants to pass the judgement let me start off with a little defense. ( actually pass it anyway )I am for the most part a peacefull guy. Although I do like good violence in my movies. I spend about 5 hours a day in my car. and do about 55,000 km year.

So funny enough a day or two after Gregs poll I again get invloved in some lunatics excuse for driving. I personally think it's my duty to make sure someone knows when thier an idiot. This guys comes flying up my right on the unpaved shoulder and when his back bumper is maybe an inch past my front he swerves infront of me. I hammer the brakes and my horn, and the guy, if you can believe it gives me the finger. Ofcourse I'm swearing my head off, giving the finger back but still leave a good distance between us. Just as I'm calming down he slams the brakes on and I come damn close to hitting him. ( the brakes on my new accord are not what they should be) so now I'm cooking. We come up to a light with lots of traffic and he get out, runs to my window yelling "I'm gonna ****ing Kill You" My first reaction was "oh Shit, I'm dead" after the rush wears a little I notice he is some little greseball runt. He damands I get out of the car and settle it like a man. Against my better judgement I do. ( I still regret this action, really, really stupid ) He took a swing at me ( which seemed like slow motion? ) and I step back. As I'm starting to come back forward I lay him right on the button. Break his nose and blood is everywhere. He goes to the ground and by this time quite a crowd has gathered around us. He got up to alot of despariging remarks from the onlookers. At least the ones who had seen what transpired. He went back to his car and took off. someone got his licence plate number for me, and I got a few phone numbers incase this turns around on me.

So the moral I guess is that I will keep my mouth and my anger inside next time this happens. I killed the rest of the day, waiting in doctors offices doing blood tests and such, since I split my knuckle and it was just a shitty day alround. I doubt this asshole learned a lesson so should I call the cops and file a report? I don't really feel like it but what do you guys think?
I'm just lucky he didn't have a gun or a knife, or 3 friends, or he was 6'5 and 300lbs.

It a said day when you have to deal with this stuff. Even got my suit pants dirty

DUDE! What a nightmare! But it's good to see our neighbors to the north are doing their part to rid the world of idiots...one idiot at a time!

Seriously, glad you weren't hurt. And it's also good to know that idiots cross borders, dangerous though they may be.

Glad you're cool...

In any situation like this i do the following.

I was in a road range incident once, not like yours at all though.

Since that incident, before i act out, i think, how important will what happened here be in a few days or months to me or my life? The answer always comes out to, NOT AT ALL if you do nothing.

If you look away and do nothing you have nothing to loose.

If you act out, you have a lot to loose. (Examples: Damaged car, getting shot, hurting yourself)

It's just not worth it.

Yeah that's pretty nuts...if the way were clear, I would have just driven off but in a situation like that, you really have no choice but to defend yourself...and at least you did that well.

I'm not sure how old you are but as you age a bit you realize that its just not worth it getting into a pissing match with the unknown. I have way too much to loose in a situation like that and would and do just laugh it off and hope this type of person does not hurt anyone with his antics.

What a beauty! hehe.. The trouble is if you report him you'll probably end up on an assault charge. It's just too cool that you were wearing a suit when you introduced the sorry punk to some rough justice Now... if you just had a digital camera on you...

I'm not condoning this type of response BTW but hell.. if you've got no choice but to be in it, you may as well win it.
