ok to drive before tuned

Default ok to drive before tuned

hey, guys i just got my turbo all installed and i need to get it to chicago to get it tuned.. so can i drive it down there as long as i dont create any boost or should i just get it towed?

this question has been ask soooooo many times... Some people is going to tell you to drive but stay off the boost, some other is going to tell you to trailer the car.... For peace of mind get a tow truck. Why risk the engine for $100 bucks which is what you pay for the tow truck.

my car wouldnt even turn on after the injectors and fuel pump. lol

thanks for the help guys.. my car turned on afer injectors but after fuel pump it took like two try...
ya i live like 54 miles away so its not to far but i just dont wanna risk ruining anything

Need details. What engine managment? What injectors?

Driving out of boost is an option if you can get the car to run. If you have a standalone like AEM or Kpro installed and you haven't scaled the injectors correctly, the car won't run.

How far do have to go?

its a aem fic with 650cc rc injectors and 56.4 miles

Well a couple of people have tried the "drive it easy" and blown their motors, others have been fine.

It's really a question of how brave are you feeling?
