So I'm thinking of refinishing my S2Rs and was wondering if anyone has changed the color of theirs and how it turned out. I'm leaning towards a satin/flat black.

 

fully polished is best

 

Actually thats kind of what I'm tired of, the shiny polished lip. Although I did see a set fully polished and I must admit that it looked pretty sexy.

Also would like to see similar styles pc'd or painted such as the Work VS-SS or there was also a set of PIAA that looked similar.

Wow, I'm really having a hard time finding these wheels done in a different color. I did stumble across these though if anyone is interested:

 

maybe try full white for the mf10 look?

 

My friend's wife has some pink ones on her s14.

 

MF10 are one of my all time favs, just never could afford them. Maybe I should try bronze.

Thanks for the pic of the pink ones. It almost seems sacrilege to paint over the polished lip, but its just become too much flash for me. Thinking about trying flat/matte black on the face, and gloss black on the lips.

 

if your gonna do it, go with an anodized finish. If you want anodized and have a tough time finding someone who does it - look for a Commercial Glass (glazing) company and ask them for help.

I'm thinking about buying a second set of wheels (vsxx's) in some aggresive offsets and anodizing the centers.
