Default Got a new daily

The lease was coming up on my E350 and since Mercedes was offering some really aggressive deals on the 09's I figured I'd see what they could do.

I test drove a ton of cars...from 911's to M3's to various AMG models, pretty much anything that floated my boat and finally decided upon this.

It's a 2009 S550 with the AMG package (meaning looks like an S63, but without the engine or pricetag!).

It's a special "Drive for the cure" edition for cancer, so MB donates $10k to cancer research, which my wife is a fan of.

Here's the interior shots.

I ended up getting about $19k off the sticker price, but I know it's still a lot of money, but hey you only live once.

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, and as various friends have pointed out, I'm not the typical S class buyer since I'm not 60 y/o (hell, I'm not even 40) but it is pretty darn quick for such a big car. I'm quite pleased with it so far, but learning what all the buttons do and how change certain things takes a little getting used to, but the "idrive" type system is this is far easier than BMW's, IMO.

Nice car! Classy indeed man. More pics please!

My wife was close to getting a MB and opted for this instead.

Thanks!

I love the XF test drove the supercharged one a couple months ago and was very impressed with everything about it, they did a great job on that car.

You can't go wrong. All of the super saloons are wonderful cars to have. It's a beautiful car and use it in good health!

Nice car!
I LOVE the new S class. I also heard Mercedes is offering some great deals on their more expensive line ups.
If I had a pocket that deep and needed a lux DD, I'd either get the S-class or the Audi S8. Or the new Jag XJ that's supposed to come out soon.

I had a deal for 17 k off of an e350 (white of course) but we went to think about it and when we called back it was sold.
