Default ticking after valve adjustment

i got my valves adjusted on friday and now when the car is cold it makes rattling type noise when the car starts. almost like a babys rattle. mostly when i let out on the clutch to go in reverse or when i put it in first. but when its warm the noise goes away. anyone know what it could be? i also got the oil, transmission, and diff fluid changed. any ideas?

i had the same issue not too long ago. Found out that the valves weren't adjusted correctly. Get if checked out again.

Make sure the engine is cold. Like, hasn't been started in the last like 6 hours.

Who did it? Did your car get driven into the bay to be worked on? Likely wasn't cool enough to do the work or the did it to the wrong spec.

well after more looking im starting to think that they left something loose, but i havent found it. because i started the car cold and i heard the noise. so i poped the hood and the noise stoped. so maby somethings hitting the hood. but idk why it would stop when warm. anything close enoughf to the hood to make it rattle up against the hood??

well its normal for the valves to tap when cold. once they warm up they will stop ticking. as for the tensioner the sound is of baseball cards in a bike spoke. same thing when cold noisy when warm quiet. also depends on amount of oil. if your low on oil then valves and tensioner can be loud. for example when it's time to do my oil change my tensioner will make the sound but once the oil gets up there it shuts up.
