Need tires S03 rear and S02 front?
Here is a very informative thread that turned up with a search under "Bridgestone SO3" https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...?threadid=56848 . The search button is in the upper right corner of the screen
. There are more threads on the same topic that turned up inmy search.
In a nutshell, the SO3 offers improved wet grip compared with the OEM SO2 at the expense of absolute dry grip. The SO3 is also a more progressive tire than the OEM SO2, so it allows greater slip angles before loss of traction occurs.
Should you mix SO3 rears with SO2 fronts? That is not recommended due to the different characteristics of each tire, but some have done it. The main thing to consider is what your goal is and whether your choice helps you achieve it.
Please note that the correct size for an SO3 rear is 245/45R16, not the OEM tire size of 225/50R16.
