Los Angeles Police in Standoff With Suspect During Probe of Possible Carjacking

Print ShareThisDEVELOPING: Los Angeles police investigating a possible carjacking are in a standoff with an armed suspect, LAPD spokesman Bruce Borihahn told Fox News.

Authorities received a call at 10:01 a.m. PST Tuesday alerting them of a potential carjacking five miles south of downtown Los Angeles.

Borihahn said a police report indicated that the stolen car is a 1989 GEO Metro, and the suspect is armed with a semi-automatic handgun.

OK I'm not trying to start sh*t here, but why does the OP have to include "only in Cali" in the title? I mean there are more car-jackings, shootings and drug crimes in Dallas than in all of Cali, and that's just from their football team!

Just kidding. You gotta question the intelligence of a guy who would carjack a Geo Metro. With all of the sports cars and luxury cars available he steals a Geo. I also wonder how dumb you have to be to let a big clumsy looking metal robot sneak up on you and disarm you.
