Default Kraftwerks HB with Hondata Flashpro

Hi all,

I just had the kit installed and tuned last week. Wow this thing is amazing.

Here's a little background:

MY08 base model
70mm Asura HFC
70mm T1-REM dual exhaust
SSR type C wheels (17X8 front, 17X9 rear)
Dunlop Z1 starspec tires 225-45front 255-40rear
Kraftwerks HB kit
Hondata Flashpro
Clutch Masters Stage 3 clutch
AP1 Flywheel

Install and tuning performed by Blacktrax in Milpitas,CA. (they did a great job!)

Dyno numbers:
377whp 243wtq at (correction: 11.5psi) (AFR ~11.7-11.9 across the board)
Currently my rev limiter is set at 8200 and that's were I am making peak power hp. I could probably squeeze out a few more whp with higher rev limit. Blacktrax is going to put it back on the dyno after my first track day and we will reassess whether to raise the rev limiter. Also if you notice, I am making 12psi! for some reason my car is producing more boost then most.

First impressions:
Wow! this thing is amazing. and the power is soooo functional. perfect traction from 2nd gear up. Some tire slippage in first but it keeps on pushing forward. The power is soo linear that it is almost easier to drive then stock since there is no vtec spike. (in a straight line that is, for cornering it is going to take some getting used to). This thing feels very fast too. It kicks you back in your seat right away then pulls you harder and harder all the way up till rev line. Also the kit is very quiet for daily driving. You hear just a slight wine from the blower just enough that you know its there and to put a smile on your face then at WOT this thing screams!

First track day is next week so I will post updates. Honestly, I can already tell this kit is setup perfectly for road course racing. Also I think this kit puts down the maximum amount of power you would want and still be functional on the track (unless you want a straight line monster)

NICE numbers and yes the kit rocks!

The 12psi thing with your numbers is confusing... Since you have the FlashPro, crab a datalog (post image) and see what it is although the factory map sensor is only good to ~10 lbs.

Get a GOOD header and that with your Asura HFC back will make thigs run a tad smoother...

Do you happen to know what your peak injector duty cycle was?

Would you be able to post your dyno with the A/F plot?

Welcome to the KW club!

Sounds like you are happy with the results. Good luck with it and be careful!

12psi is confusing though?

stock map sensor is erractic, i bet it was a spike if anything in the log. my stock map sensor would get so erractic above 9.5psi.

no other kw HB car has ever hit that hi without a different pulley. so theres just no way.

Mr. Honda hit 382 with a quite a few mods (100mm pulley) and a k-pro/sensor replacement. I want to say his S was an 05 but he was part of the first purchase group. He has a detailed picture overlay and a video.
